Saint Louis University
Jenna Gorlewicz, Ph.D.
Dr. Jenna L. Gorlewicz received her B.S. in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2008, before pursuing her PhD in mechanical engineering at Vanderbilt University, where she worked in the Medical and Electromechanical Design (MED) Laboratory.
At Vanderbilt, she was a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Vanderbilt Educational Research fellow. Dr. Gorlewicz is currently a faculty member in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Saint Louis University. She is the director of the Collaborative Haptics, Robotics, and Mechatronics (CHROME) Lab.Her research interests are in haptic and human-machine interfaces, medical devices and robotics, educational technologies, engineering education, and entrepreneurship. She is co-Founder of Vital, an educational technology company geared toward bridging the digital accessibility gap in today’s classrooms and is mom to 3 handsome boys who keep her young and active.
Amy Keith, MPH, CPH
Amy Keith is the project manager of Inclusio. She received her BA in Health, Society, and Populations, minoring in Biology and obtaining a certificate in Health Communications from the University of Kentucky; she earned her Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health and Epidemiology from Saint Louis University while serving as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Maternal and Child Health Center of Excellence and interning in the Office of the Vice President for Research’s Research Development Group. Amy served as project manager throughout Phase I of the NSF Convergence Accelerator, and is excited to continue on as project manager for Phase II.
Jen Tennison, Ph.D.
Dr. Jen L. Tennison received her B.S. in Psychology (emphasis: cognitive science) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2014 and her Ph.D. in Engineering (emphasis: mechanical engineering) from Saint Louis University in 2021. Jen is an alumnus of the CHROME Lab, having been a part of the lab since its inception!
At Saint Louis University, she was awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP) to complete her dissertation which focused on using haptics to increase the accessibility of digital, STEM materials. Jen currently manages the day-to-day operations in the CHROME Lab and continues to research haptics as the lab’s research scientist.
Her research interests span across human-machine interaction, human-computer interaction, engineering education, and game development. When she is not researching, her time is split between gaming, hiking, and spending time with her “emotional distress dog,” Bou.
